Job Description
- Monitors and maintains efficiency in network operations through the implementation of network analyzers, network management software and network monitoring systems
- Operates, configures and maintains modems, internet appliances, multiplexers and modems
- Handles the configuration, operation and maintenance of networking systems hardware (incl. routers, switches, modems & other network equipment) and software (access servers)
- Implements and maintains management of cable facility and network monitoring systems
- Analyzes network problems/trouble and provides first line of support in troubleshooting problems regarding network operations & connectivity performance/utilization
- Handles the implementation of back-up for network configurations. Regularly monitors network performance and submits monitoring log to Head of Network Support group
- Ensures that implemented projects and provided services are attaining the Network Support Group Functional Objectives and Quality Objectives under ISO standards
- Handles and conceptualizes IT account projects regarding network support such as preparation of project design (incl. costing, specification, etc) and project implementation
- Coordinates activities regarding IT projects such as project planning, in order to provide and maintain high quality products and services
- Prepares documentation for implemented projects
- Coordinates with other support groups and implements completion of service/modification orders
- Regularly coordinates with superior and colleagues regarding daily network support operations
- Provides regular updates and feedback on day-to-day status
- Escalates issues/barriers encountered on projects to be implemented and network support concerns to the Head of Network Support Group for early resolution
- Prepares advisory reports, regular shift logs and other project status reports. Submits report to Head of Network Support Group
- Handles the preparation of monthly reports for the Head of Network Support Group
- Entertains and answers questions and concerns coming from Network Support Group, clients and Vitro Operations
- Speaks of ideas clearly and articulately in all presentation and situation may it be for internal or external clients; ensures that the point or idea is well expressed and understood
- Corresponds with and generates reports for the group with all regard for style and language
Job Qualification
- Graduate of Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any IT related course
- Must have at least 1 years work experience in handling network support operations, 1 year in Cisco Routers and Switches
- Must be able to configure internal switching and routing protocols.
- CCNA Certified
