Capping the Year Off with ePLDT’s Pacesetters’ Night

Different organizations around the world are celebrating Christmas in the most extravagant way possible. But at ePLDT, the corporate Christmas party goes beyond the elaborate holiday designs and fancy costumes, giving more spotlight to the company’s most important assets—the Pacesetters.

ePLDT, Inc., the country’s premiere digital innovator, boasts its employees who set the pace for IT innovation. As the year ends, the management team led by ePLDT Group COO Nerisse Ramos recognized the hardwork that these pacesetters exerted to bring success to the company. For the team, this is worth celebrating for.

During the recently held ePLDT All-In: the Pacesetters’ Night in Makati City, employees, esteemed guests from PLDT Group, and ePLDT’s top management team joined their hands to welcome the newly hired Pacesetters.

Right after the new employees’ opening performance, hosts Davis Yolangco, Digital Solutions Engagement Manager from Digital Solutions Engagement, and Jany Beltran, Talent Acquisition Officer from the Human Resources grace the stage to welcome esteemed guests, giving special mention to Ms. Ramos to deliver her welcome message.

After delivering her speech, the hosts commenced the Battle of the Pacesetters. Five different teams prepared a short production number with the pacesetter icon assigned to their respective group. The criteria for judging were creativity and uniqueness of the performance, ka-look-alike of the icon, stage presence, and audience impact.

Bill Gates (Shared Services – Office of the Group COO, Controllership, Treasury, Credit & Collection, Procurement & Partnership, Corp Gov/Legal/Contracts Management. Corporate IT, Business Process)
Team Elvis Presley (Service Fulfillment & CRM – Sales Operations, Project Management, Quality Management, Service Management, Assisted Service)
Team Leonardo Da Vinci (Operation Group 1 – Facilities Management, Asset & Property Management and Network, and Systems Operations)
Team Michael Jackson (Operations Group 2 – Cloud and Hosted Applications, IT Security Operations, Database Management, Digital Infra & Asset Protection, Applications Support)

Based on the criteria set by the Human Resources Department, FVP & Head of PLDT Alpha Jovy Hernandez announced that the team representing Muhammad Ali’s life won in the Battle of the Pacesetters.

Raffle prizes were also given away to a few lucky winners during the event. The minor prizes range from cash to 42-inch screen LG TV. The major prize was the 2016 Go Pro Hero 5, which was given to the winner of the Minute-To-Win-It game.

The ePLDT All-In: The Pacesetters’ Night was capped off by a night of dancing, with music transcending from the 80s to today’s top hits.
